Why Fuel60

Built as a System FUEL60 is designed to work seamlessly with the Hexis Fuel System.

Fuel60 sits at the centre of the Hexis fueling ecosystem. It allows athletes to build a nutrition strategy around their individual needs by adjusting carbohydrate, fluid, and sodium intake independently.

Use Fuel60 as your primary carbohydrate source and scale your intake by combining it with: gels for additional carbohydrate delivery during higher-intensity efforts. • S200 Sodium Capsules for personalised sodium replacement based on sweat losses

Fuel60 is designed for athletes of all ages and across all sporting disciplines, including: • Running • Trail Running & Ultra-Endurance Events • Triathlon • Cycling & Mountain Biking • HYROX & Functional Fitness • Team Sports • Endurance Training • Junior Athletes Learning to Fuel From first-time athletes learning the fundamentals of fueling to experienced competitors chasing peak performance, Fuel60 provides a simple and effective foundation for carbohydrate intake.

The Science

Train The Gut. Nail The Race.

Your gut is trainable. The more consistently you fuel with carbohydrates during training, the better your body gets at processing them under load. FUEL60 is designed to make that process straightforward — a measured 31g - 62g serve in your bottle means you know exactly what you're putting in and when. The 2:1 maltodextrin to fructose ratio uses two separate carbohydrate absorption pathways, so your gut isn't trying to process everything through a single route. Use it in training to build tolerance. Use it on race day to cash in.

Directions for use

How to use FUEL60:

Mix 1  - 2 serves (31g - 62g) into 500mL - 1000mL of water. Shake or stir well until fully dissolved. Consume during training or competition. Start sipping early in your session. Don't wait until you feel like you need it.

Gut training guidance: If you're new to high-carbohydrate fuelling, start with a half serve and build up over several sessions. Your gut adapts with consistent practice. Use FUEL60 in training to work up to your race-day carbohydrate targets before it counts.

Adjusting concentration: 1 serve of FUEL60 can be mixed into up to 750mL of water for a slightly lighter concentration if preferred. The carbohydrate content per serve stays the same.

Your Fueling and Stacking Guide

Hexis Energy Gel: FUEL60 in your bottle, Gel in your pocket. Cover your carbohydrate base from your drink and use gels for top-ups or when you need something solid going down. The same 2:1 carb system across both products means everything works together. (COMING SOON)

Hexis Energy Gel+: Add Hexis Energy Gel+ gels mid-session or in the later stages of a long effort for the caffeine hit. FUEL60 handles the carbohydrate load in your bottle, Hexis Energy Gel+ handles the edge when you need it. (COMING SOON)

HYDRA700: FUEL60 carries no electrolytes by design, it's pure carb. Run HYDRA700 in a separate bottle or alongside FUEL60 if your session demands both carbohydrate and sodium replacement at the same time. (COMING SOON)

HEXIS DHR: For longer sessions where recovery is also on your mind, pair FUEL60 with DHR to cover the carbohydrate base and the fuller electrolyte system: magnesium, vitamin C and zinc. Simultaneously. (COMING SOON)

S200 Sodium Capsules: Because FUEL60 contains no sodium, athletes with high sweat rates or those in hot conditions should add S200 caps to cover sodium needs. Take with water alongside your FUEL60 bottle.

Nutritional Information

got questions?

Few of the most common ones that come up once the wrap’s off and real life starts.

Can I mix FUEL60 with my electrolyte powder in the same bottle?

Yes — FUEL60 is formulated without electrolytes specifically so you can combine it with HYDRA700 or HEXIS DHR in the same bottle if you want to. That said, mixing two powders can affect flavour and concentration, so test it in training first before doing it on race day.

Why no sweeteners?

Because at 60 grams of carbohydrate per serve, you don't need them — and adding them creates problems. Sweeteners like stevia can leave a lingering aftertaste that builds over a long session and puts you off drinking. FUEL60 uses a light citrus flavour to make it palatable without anything that overstays its welcome. The goal is something you can keep drinking for hours without flavour fatigue.

Is FUEL60 just for racing, or can I use it in everyday training?

Both — and training is actually where FUEL60 earns its place. Your gut needs consistent practice to handle high carbohydrate intake under load. Using FUEL60 in training lets you build that tolerance progressively, so by the time race day comes, your fuelling strategy is already dialled in.

How does FUEL60 compare to using DURA35 gels alone?

Different tools for different roles. DURA35 gels are pocket-ready, precise, and easy to dose mid-effort. FUEL60 gives you a continuous carbohydrate source in your bottle — useful for long efforts where you want a steady intake without stopping to reach for a gel every 30 minutes. Most athletes use both: FUEL60 as the base in the bottle, gels for top-ups or specific timing points.

Why 700mL and not 500mL?

At 60g of carbohydrate per 2 serves, mixing into 500mL creates a fairly concentrated solution that some athletes find heavy on the stomach — particularly under load. 700mL gives a concentration that's generally easier to tolerate and still easy to drink. You can go up to 750mL if you prefer a lighter mix. Test what works for you in training.
